Sleeping a full night and still dragging by ten in the morning, a crash after lunch, or a tiredness that coffee no longer covers: low energy is one of the most common reasons people come in. Preeti Gupta at Minute Wonder Ayurveda in San Ramon approaches it as a question about the whole day, not a single cause.
Preeti does not diagnose pathological conditions from a Western perspective, so her work sits alongside the care of your physician and never replaces it.
What Ayurveda looks at
Ayurveda asks whether food is being turned into nourishment, or into ama, the heavy residue of weak digestion. Preeti looks at:
Digestion and appetite: whether you feel heavy after meals or hungry and shaky between them.
Sleep quality and timing, including daytime naps.
Output as well as intake: how much you do, how much you rest, and how often you push on with stimulants.
What a First Visit covers
A First Visit is 90 minutes ($250). Preeti reviews your daily routine, diet, digestion, exercise and sleep, using a health history, pulse analysis and tongue diagnosis. For fatigue and low energy, expect time on:
When the tiredness began and what changed around then: work, season, illness, a new medicine.
Your meals, fluids and caffeine, written down with times.
What to check with your physician first, and a plan for energy that can be built over months.
You leave with a written diet, herbal and lifestyle plan. Follow-ups are $125 for 60 minutes. See pricing.
What you can start this week
Two dishes her pages describe as giving steady energy:
Cracked wheat dalia with vegetables. Her page calls cracked wheat a source of sustained energy through the day.
Cumin-roasted sweet potatoes and yam. Her page notes that sweet potatoes and yam give sustained energy and are rich in fibre.
See your physician first if
Fatigue with unexplained weight loss, fever or drenching night sweats.
Shortness of breath, palpitations or fainting.
Tiredness that does not lift after weeks, or comes with low mood. Ask your physician about blood tests.
Common questions about fatigue and low energy
Could my tiredness be something medical?
It can be. Anemia, thyroid problems, sleep apnea and low mood all cause fatigue, which is why Preeti asks you to keep your physician involved. Her work sits alongside medical care.
Does Ayurveda say I should eat more or less?
Neither by default. She looks at whether your digestion can use what you eat and adjusts the type, timing and amount of food, rather than counting calories.
I live on coffee. Will I have to quit?
She will ask how much you drink, when, and why you reach for it. Changes are gradual, one or two at a time, so you can feel what helps.
